”Ta mig härifrån” is like a desperate fucking embrace song that breathes a very strong will to start something new… if only the courage comes. With a punky approach, at a high tempo, Krake wants to convey the feeling of being stuck, when you want nothing more than to get out of here.
With roots deep down in the northern punk scene, Krake continues to build their intense indie rock universe of contrasts. So after the thoughtful ”Mörka fantasier”, from earlier this year, the band turns up the tempo considerably with the new ”Ta mig härifrån”. What might come next, uptempo, downtempo, no tempo, the future will tell. However, something that can be said to be a common thread through all their releases is the ability to write genuine and thought-provoking lyrics.
Krake’s singer Fredrik says:
“Ta mig härfrån is a driven angst-ridden blast delivered with hot guitars and even hotter drums. It’s about the realization that everything is shit and your own inability to get away from this hell, about the desire for help, a little push, to get somewhere else, anywhere.”
Perhaps the whole thing can be summed up as an insistent cry for help – “Can you take me from here? Because I can’t do it myself / … A little push is all I want”. Listen and see for yourself.
