Today, May 9th, we’ve released “Wind”, which is the same as Cowboy Sad’s new painfully bittersweet song.
A song, in minor, that conveys a rather fateful but still hopeful beautiful feeling of daring to let go and find one’s home in that which cannot be controlled.
This duo, from West Side’s hometown, mixes introspective lyrics with a warm sound, melancholy and pain with a hope for a better everyday life. Everything is intertwined into something that sounds very unique and authentic in all its minimalism.
Or as they themselves say about their new beautiful single “Wind”:
– “Wind reflects the inner journey from fear to freedom, of not clinging to the past, but instead following the whimsical movements of life – just like the wind. Beneath the surface, the lyrics can also be interpreted as a story about finding one’s own place in a divided world, where security no longer lies in the outside, but in daring to trust oneself.”
That said, as we try to explain, this duo combine big emotions with small details. Genre-wise, it’s a mix of singer songwriter and alternative indie, sometimes spiced with a bit of country flair.
