One more in our search of the long lost…..

From an era when A West Side Fabrication was at zenith, you might say, is where we’ve taking This Weeks Top of the World Track in Historical Perspective, (the seventh in our search of the long lost tracks).

This era is also, I’ve read, the darkest period in the swedish music history, at least if your name is Håkan Hellström. Of course I totally disagree, since we more or less was one of the pioneers, one of creative parts, of the upcoming alternative indie guitar noise scene in Sweden. And after all, this little label had three acts (around 50% of all Swedish acts) who recorded a session each for the legendary radioman John Peel (long live his memory), a so called Peel session for BBC one. One of those bands were indeed this super cool act.

So mr sing a long Håkan, from the same city as well, (and all you others) here you have a truly beautiful track ”Lucid Guitars” from a Gothenburg band called Mufflon 5. A band that recorded three albums before disbanding around 1996. This song, none of their most famous once , is taken from their third album ”All in Flames” and describes pretty well the magnificent of Mufflon 5. And just so their will be no misunderstandings, during their very short career they received loads of great reviews and other positive feedbacks, to bad we couldn’t get a decent payback from it. Last, if you’re interested in one of their more popular songs, just listen to ”Waverer”, ”Fall la la” or ”Freewheeling”.

So here we go, ”Lucid Guitars” is This Weeks Top of the World Track in Historical Perspective.
