Old stuff out now…

Aktuellt

Now I have found another old album that was not uploaded to Spotify, but which from now on is. Talking about this super early and raw indie lo-fi debut album from Gothenburg’s Waterbug. An album full of obscure songs typical of the time, where creativity and the joy of creation are at the center. Nothing for the average person, but definitely something for those of you who want a sense of how it all began once upon a time, when West Side was at its zenith with our guitar-based indie pop.
That said, this is a really cool album (also got good press when it came out) that has been hidden away for far too long. So please listen to it, those of you who are interested in Swedish indie history.
Finally, a slightly funny anecdote from that time. It so happened that at the same time that I was talking to Waterbug, I was also in advanced negotiations with a band called Broder Daniel and their frontman Henrik. I really liked what BD was doing, but my so-called Northern calm (😂) didn’t really click with the speedy (whirlwind) dizzy Henrik. To be completely honest, I was a little ”scared” of him. That’s how it can go.
